Definition:Something which happens to or with a PARTY. This entity reflects the emphasis in the model on events which happen, and which may trigger or influence other events. Since the model is also date/time stamped at different instances in time, the model can accommodate the development of people and their health and welfare status and wellbeing by tracking these events. EVENT is a major supertype entity in the National Health Information Model.
