Clinical Quality Measures:
Core Set in Stage 1 and Recommended Core Set in Stage 2/2014

Beginning in 2014, Eligible Professionals (EPs) must report on 9 of the 64 2014 Clinical Quality Measures (CQMs), regardless of the Meaningful Use Stage to which the EP is attesting. Unlike Stage 1, which requires reporting on specific core CQMs or alternate core CQMs, in 2014 EPs are instead required to select their 9 CQMs from a minimum of three Key Health Policy Domains. Two sets of core CQMs, one for adults and one for pediatrics, will be recommended but not required.

This factsheet provides the following series of tables:

Stage 1 and 2014 CQM Requirements

Provides a high level overview of what EPs need to report for clinical quality measurement in both Stage 1 and in 2014

Core Measures Comparison Chart

Lists all eligible core and alternate core CQMs for both Stage 1 and 2014, and which requirements they fulfill

Key Health Policy Domain Charts for 2014 CQM Requirements

A series of 6 charts that each represent a Key Health Policy Domain and indicate which 2014 CQMs are part of that domain.

Recommended Core CQMs and Associated Key Health Policy Domains

Lists 2014 recommended core CQMs and indicates which Key Health Policy Domain applies.
